Olga Moskatova studied at the University of Arts Berlin and at the Université Stendhal Grenole 3, where she received a MA in Audiovisual Communication in 2009. Between 2010 and 2012 she was a doctoral fellow at the Graduate Research Program “The Real in the Culture of Modernity”, University of Constance. Since July 2012 she works as researcher and lecturer at the IKKM Weimar.
Her main areas of research are media theory, theory and history of film and photography, materiality and avant-garde film. She is currently working on a dissertation on materiality and analog nostalgia in cameraless film.
