How to Apply
Please note:
In light of the recent storm on the East Coast and its impact on many of the university communities in the region we have decided to extend the application deadline for the 2013 Princeton-Weimar Summer School to November 21, 2012. We hope that this will allow all qualified candidates who would otherwise be unable to meet the deadline to submit an application.
All applications should be submitted electronically in PDF format and should include the following:
- Letter of Intent indicating academic experience and interest in the summer school’s annual topic (max. 300 words);
- Curriculum Vitae (max. 2 pages);
- Writing Sample (e.g. published article or seminar paper) of no more than 5000 words, double spaced, with standard margins;
- Contact information (name, institutional address, email) of two potential references.
Please use the following naming convention for your application files:
Lastname_Letter_of_Intent.pdf
Lastname_Curriculum_Vitae.pdf
Lastname_Writing_Sample.pdf
Lastname_Contact_Info.pdf
All application materials should be sent by email to
christoph.engemann@uni-weimar.de
and must be received by the new deadline, due to Hurricane Sandy, November 21, 2012.
Applicants who have been admitted will be notified by late November 2012.
Once admitted, applicants are required to transfer a participation fee of €600 (ca. $750) (non-negotiable) by February 28, 2013 to guarantee their spot.
The fee covers tuition, full accommodation, meals, and all study materials during the entire week of the summer school.
A limited amount of travel funding will be available upon application.
