Fabia joined the program in 2023. Before coming to Princeton, she studied History, English and American Studies in Dresden, Munich, and Minneapolis. She received her master’s degree in Germanic Languages and Literatures from the Ohio State University where she was also awarded the 2023 Graduate Associate Teaching Award. Fabia has an interest in religious splinter groups of the 16th and 17th centuries and published an article on the Salzburger emigrants to colonial Georgia in the University of Minnesota’s Central Europe Yearbook. She is passionate about paleography and has transcribed various sources spanning several periods, among them early modern travel diaries, as well as war diaries of the 19th and 20th centuries. At Princeton, Fabia is expanding her interests in the medieval and early modern period by investigating the reception of mysticism in literature and philosophy of the 20th century.
