This workshop offers a forum to reflect on the practice of history and its theory. We will discuss a signature piece by Reinhart Koselleck, one of the field’s foremost thinkers, “Historia Magistra Vitae: The Dissolution of the Topos into the Perspective of a Modernized Historical Process” (1967; 1985), and explore the history of historical thought with an eye to the current moment.
