The German department is pleased to have Professor Anja Lemke, a Professor of German Literature at the University of Cologne and Director of the Erich Auerbach-Institute for Advanced Studies, visiting for the fall semester. Professor Lemke will be teaching GER 307 “Topics in German Culture and Society: Cultures of Melancholy: Literature, Art and Science” and GER 517 “Modernism and Modernity: Art/Work. On the relation between modern aesthetics and labor.”
