Sara S. Poor Elected Second Vice-President of the Medieval Academy of America

German Professor Sara Poor  was recently elected Second Vice-President of the Medieval Academy of America in its 2026 governance election. In this position, Professor Poor is slated to become Vice-President in 2027 and President of the Academy in 2028.

“Having been a member of this esteemed organization since I entered the profession, I am truly honored to be chosen by the membership to fill this role,” Poor said. “I look forward to the important work it will entail in promoting and supporting the study of the global middle ages in all their complexity and richness.”
