Graduate Student, Kathrin Witter, writes article on Hegel
“Wer denkt abstrakt?” was published August 27, 2020 in the Süddeutsche Zeitung, by graduate student Kathrin Witter.
Witter’s text is about a short piece Hegel wrote in 1807. It deals with what abstract thinking means; and in a way typical for Hegel it does so via its own construction that is meant to confront the reader with their own abstract thinking and to show how abstraction must not simply be overcome but is in need of concrete thinking.
